The best way to describe myself would be, lively with childlike playfulness. I’m married with two children. I home educated our kids in the second half of primary school. My teaching style is based on fun and humour. Joy is at the foundation of everything I do. That’s why I do minimal housework. Where’s the joy in that?
My two passions are comedy and writing. I have my own business running Social Laughter Sessions. They consist of small groups of friends or strangers, and are based on being a humorous, uplifting experience. It’s all about connecting people through laughter. I’m writing my first book on the random strangers I keep meeting. They have the best stories to tell. Each person is unique with underlying commonalities. Plus I love learning from people.
My mum has had Alzheimer’s since 2014 and my dad since late 2016. I took mum to Ageless Grace classes and saw the positive difference it made. That’s why I became an educator. My vision is for generations of families to exercise together in a fun way. My high energy levels are well suited to active pre-schoolers. Your children never have to get dementia. Research shows it’s largely preventable through lifestyle of: exercise, eating wholefoods, boosting our brains, sleep and being social. Ageless Grace for KIDZ, ticks three of those five boxes. Possibly four, if they fall asleep on the way home from class!
Please join me in giving the gift of lifelong health to your precious children.
Kids need movement to create the foundation of their neurological system!
Based on the science of neuroplasticity, Ageless Grace for KIDZ is a seated fitness program that activates all five areas of the brain for increased cognitive function: strategic planning, memory and recall, analytical thinking, creativity and imagination and kinaesthetic learning.
Our children are growing up in digital age. Eighty-three percent of children from 6 months to less than 6 years of age view TV or videos for about 2 hours per day. Social media is a normal part of their lives. This is alarming. Kids need physical movement for their brains to develop properly.
The founder and creator of this vital but easy program, Denise Medved, has this vision: “To change the model of aging in the world, beginning with our children. They can learn early in life that movement creates and maintains functionality – and the first three letters of functionality spell FUN!”
This fitness program is excellent for kids of all ages, sizes and abilities. It’s especially beneficial for those with special needs, such as ADD, ADHD and other physical and mental challenges. Our brains can be repaired via exercise. That’s the power of neuroplasticity.
It is my vision to provide this essential program to pre-school children and their carer’s. Establishing a fun and playful exercise program is crucial to the overall wellbeing and brain development of your children. Add upbeat music and this becomes so much fun, your kids will never realise the enormous benefits they are receiving.
Some of the many benefits include: hand/eye coordination, right/left brain development, concentration, memory, flexibility, physical strength, nervous system stimulation, spinal health, cardiovascular health, core strength, self-confidence, creativity, fun and being social. The same benefits apply to adults plus the added bonus of preventing cognitive decline as we age.
The ultimate advantage is that your kids will be better at everything from building blocks, painting, reading and imagination through play.
