What I really love about teaching Ageless Grace is the delightful joy and cheeriness that arises during the class. There is absolutely no pressure to ‘get it right’; it is about enjoying yourself by moving in a playful way that is comfortable for you. The participants of Ageless Grace classes get a good workout for their smiles as well as their bodies!
I have been teaching Ageless Grace for just over a year and discovered it when I was searching for an innovative seated exercise program to bring to my aged care workplace. I found the daily exercises we were doing rather repetitious and dull- Ageless Grace is just the opposite! Every class brings something new and unique. Creativity and innovation are the name of the game, providing great fuel for the brain to keep those brain cells active!
Ageless Grace uses simple tools to improve flexibility, strength and mobility. It is suitable for all ages and because it is done seated, is particularly beneficial for some older populations. It incorporates uplifting, familiar music, encourages imagination and creativity, providing a great workout for both the body and brain!
I am located in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne and work in the aged care field. I am passionate about providing stimulating and meaningful activities in both the residential aged care setting and the community. I am currently doing further studies in the area of dementia care and bring an understanding and empathy to my work with people who are living with dementia.
When I am not working I love participating in Nia, a dance and movement practice that has brought a lot of joy to my life. I have been doing Nia for over three years and have completed my White Belt and recently my Blue Belt. I also enjoy being in the great outdoors, walking, swimming and appreciating the natural world.
Flexible Ageless Grace classes are available for individuals and groups in the south-east suburbs. Those who I have taught have expressed that my approach is gentle and caring, creating a fun and supportive environment. I would be pleased to provide a demonstration of Ageless Grace so you can experience this uplifting seating exercise program first hand. I look forward to hearing from you at firstname.lastname@example.org
